The war against Iran has gone almost exactly to script.

The Americans/Israelis have decapitated the extremist/fanatic religious ghouls and now the equally extremist IRGC has taken control. We are dealing with a military junta that understands military means. That's actually good.

Underlying this transformation is a simple economic fact -- war is expensive and the IRGC collectively and individually cannot do without a paycheck.

The Americans/Israelis have adapted to that reality by a handful of specific actions:

1. cutting the rail link to China; and,

2. blockading the waterways leading from Kharg Island, the terminus of oil shipments from Iran.

Taken together they accomplish two important objectives:

1. cutting off all revenue going to the IRGC; and,

2. denying any imports to Iran.

Just as you personally need air and water to function, the IRGC needs money to pay itself, to afford re-supply, and to pay its thuggery.

Stay the course.

The Iranians were near producing a nuclear weapon. They already had Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles (IRBMs), and the technology to make Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs). The Mullah's in charge are/were dedicated to imposing Islam and Sharia Law on the world. Those are facts that the Democrats and too many Americans ignore/totally discount when assessing this war and international situation. These are uncomfortable issues to cover and accept, but the Iranians with a nuclear weapon was a danger not only to the Middle East, Europe, but the entire world. Far too many have not studied or have knowledge of History. To ignore history is to invite disaster and destruction to the Western World.

“Iran has been preparing to fight the United States since 1979.” CF

“Preparing”? Chris, have you been sharing notes with the Pope?

“Congress and the American people have been told nothing about justification or mission.” CF

“Justification”? Just because Presidents, Congresses, Eurotards, and MSM have buried their collective heads in the sand while simultaneously contorting themselves to kick that can down the road for most of 47 years doesn’t mean the big billboard with flashing buzzing neon lights wasn’t there for all to see and hear.

President Trump’s courageous leadership prevented a future day in world history that would have lived in infamy for those who survived it.

So disappointed in Trump . We did not need this war. The world does not need this war. What is the goal?

Wars never turned out as planned. Read “ The Guns of August.” Read the headlines after Hitler conquered Europe and th Japanese conquered Pearl Harbor, Singapore, and Manila.

We support our country. But we need to be right to draw the sword.

Agreed. Congress and the American people have been told nothing about justification or mission. That is way off base. But now that we are engaged, we have to come to a reasonable solution. Can't just sail off into the sunset and hope for the best.
