Do we have that?

And if so… can we say we’ve achieved it? With diesel currently averaging roughly $6.50 a gallon, and the Republicans polling behind in the midterms?

Join Paul for a conversation with former White House advisor under both Trump administrations, Captain Morgan Murphy of the U.S. Navy. He’s a graduate of the Naval War College, worked at the Pentagon, and has spent long deployments in-theater in the Middle East area.

The good Captain’s a guy who has forgotten more about these issues than most talking heads will ever know—and Paul presses him on it. Does he have a different take?

Now, we all react to such things differently. Some took photos. Some videos. Paul scrawled little notes on the back of police forms so that, months later, he could document what he saw on that day and the days that followed. He titled the eventual article, “Notes From Ground Zero.”

Who could have predicted that we’d be where we are in New York City today?

And even stranger: that Paul would end up at Fox News, who recently dramatized the article in an excellent documentary streaming on the Fox Nation platform?

This week, for the 25th Anniversary of that day, Paul reads the original article below.

We here at The Ops Desk hope you are well and safe. And if you lost people that day, know that there are many of us who do indeed try to keep to our vow to, “never forget.”

And if you would like to support the people continuing to advocate on behalf of so many affected by 9/11 — a group that we TRUST — please consider Tunnels to Towers. The link is HERE.

Thank you.

Now, the fact that a guilty verdict feels more like justice doesn’t mean it will go that way. As we’ve discussed, Massachusetts (ludicrously) puts the burden on the government to prove a defendant claiming insanity is actually sane. A hung jury is also always a possibility.

But joining us again on the Nightwatch this week is John DePetro, New England crime reporter, who has been in court for the whole trial. He’s watched the jurors, the judge, and Lindsay herself. He’s also seen defense attorney Kevin Reddington in action for years, and gives us some inside baseball on the man (including that he apparently threatened to punch a Fox reporter!).

John, whose excellent and informed crime reporting can be found online here, joined us to give final thoughts before we get a resolution in the case—whatever it may be.

So click here to join us.

Tonight we have Eric Seidel — among the most experienced prosecutors in the nation. Here’s a guy who was head of the Homicide Bureau in the Brooklyn DA’s Office at the height of the crack epidemic. A guy who was the head of Rackets in the Manhattan DA’s Office. A federal prosecutor with the SDNY (who has the Mangione case now). A law professor. We could go on.

Join Paul and Eric as they dissect the burning question: Will this “hero” of the left die in jail? Where he likely belongs?

Join us… on the NIGHTWATCH.

There’s an old saying in intel work: “it’s all one case.” Look hard enough, and the hand of the Chinese Communist Party appears behind most of the security challenges America faces. Drugs, fraud, intellectual property theft, border issues, COVID... we could go on. But does the West get it yet?

Gordon, who spent over 20 years working as an attorney inside China, has been ringing the bell on the subject for years now, through his media appearances, books, and journalism.

As he puts it: China considers itself at war with the U.S... But the U.S. doesn’t seem to realize it.

And why will next year be a pivotal one in China’s -- and perhaps America’s -- history?

Join us for a conversation with Gordon Chang... on tonight’s NIGHTWATCH.

Dersh brings us up to date on:

• Why the Jewish vote trends liberal — and whether that will continue…

• The fact that he’s switched to being a Republican…

• Why Mamdani and the DSA won’t — can’t — get what they really want…

• Why Fauci COULD take the Fifth in Congress — but still has problems…

… and much more.

He’s got a new book out, too, based on the founding documents of two nations (documents he’s collected)… and about which he provides some truly inside “baseball.” (ouch — bad pun. You’ll see why).

You’re rarely see him so unguarded.

So join us — on this week’s Nightwatch.

And check out Alan on substack here: https://substack.com/@dersh and his new book (see below) HERE on Amazon!

But is it Lindsay Clancy’s fault? Or that of her doctors?

And why — shockingly — is her husband standing by her?

This one is nowhere near as simple as you think. Fortunately, we have Dr. Josef Witt-Doerring, board-certified psychiatrist, to break it down for us.

And if you’ve heard about this case and already made up your mind… brace yourself. This doesn’t go where you expect.

See you there — on the NIGHTWATCH.

Friends, if you’re wondering what single issue underlies pretty much every national and international decision out there these days… look no further. It’s something Americans take for granted. But have you ever considered how the sausage is actually made?

Daniel Turner has made this single question his life’s work — and he explains here why we fight wars, who is undermining us here at home, where the future investments will be… and why Europe has guaranteed their continued obsolescence going forward.

This one is, in our opinion, one of the most interesting discussions we’ve had yet.

You’re invited!

Is it about to fall? What happens next? And: Why should it matter to us?

Join us for a Nightwatch hang with Gabriela Blanco, Cuban-refugee-turned-American, member of the Dissident Project, and victim of the idiocies of communism.

Give it a listen. This is what happens when communism takes place outside the teacher’s lounge, and in the real world.
